I have a 12" 2006 of course, re MX dual 2 ohm version for sale. Only powered it for about one month with nine.1 and then 2 days with 2500D. Deciding on going a different route with my setup. This sub is pretty amazing, i didn't have it in an ideal sub enclosure and still sounded great, even when it was underpowered by the nine.1 amp.

Letting it go for $475 + $50 shipping from 94602(if it exceeds that, i will cover the rest).

Pictures to come after i get off work tonight sometime

so your massive education is better than...........the company that made both products and says the sub with no xbl2 and 10mm xmax less is greater. free bump not trin to hate nice sub here
Wow. You make me laugh. Amazing that a company would claim a new more expensive product is better than an old one.

Sorry physics and objective fact > you. Once again, don't speak about things you don't understand if you don't want to look foolish.

I'll reiterate. Old XXX > MX, in terms of linear output, by quite a bit.

It's actually pretty simple: They have the same Sd, and the 05 XXX has about 50% more linear displacement, and thus is capable of about 3dB more linear output.

I suppose RE's marketing department > laws of physics right?

The MX is a good driver, but it is not as accurate as a XXX, and is capable of LESS linear output, not more. I wouldn't be at all surprised if the MX can handle more power and take more abuse, but that's hardly the same.

glad someone likes to prove there eballs by claims based on specs that something is greater yet the lanes dont lie. if we all based products on specs im sure we would all have audiobahn but we know better. ya ill agree old xxx is more accurate but output the mx out does old xxx even with 50% less displacement. so yes specs on old xxx > real world output mx with less clarity, but thats just personal experience not lookin at specs. so again u win because u can read i lose because i abuse. im done let the man try to sell his sub, instead of telling him what specs are better, sorry to use space in ur thread but seems like this forums good at this prolly why i dont post much.

I never said the MX couldn't do more output for raw SPL purposes where distortion isn't a factor. For MUSIC, the XXX > MX, period. How you think "the lanes" could disprove that, escapes my comprehension, as I'm sure it does for anyone who actually understands how speakers work.

For LINEAR output (look it up, since apparently you lack either the intelligence or knowledge to know what that means), the XXX bests the MX, hands down.

I hate trying to educate ignorant people on topics they haven't the faintest inclination about.

As to your audiobahn specs claim...wow. Just wow. You're even less intelligent than I originally estimated. I'm not basing anything on "specs", but rather what the driver actually does. Furthermore, Audiobahn doesn't have ANY speakers which look very good from an objective standpoint, but then again you know NOTHING about how to evaluate a speaker in that fashion, so I suppose that claim isn't all that surprising.

You sound like another one of those SPL kiddies who knows nothing about how speakers ACTUALLY work, and who equates ALL objective evaluation as "what's on paper" or "whats on a spec sheet", even though you honestly know NOTHING about objective speaker evaluation, let alone why the factual statements that I made are correct.

If you think SPL competition results > laws of physics, you really, REALLY need to try and make an effort to understand speakers man, because you don't have a clue.

thanks again for proving me so wrong "I'm not basing anything on "specs", but rather what the driver actually does. " then why does 10mm xmax and 50% more displacement based on specs make a driver better????? wider bl curve ? subjective hearing test? ive already agreed the xbl2 is more accurate maybe why i use one in my home audio but who knows based on specs you are 100% right but you can go look in the mirror and fight urself. ive agreed with you on your whole point of it being accurate, i first posted xmax doesnt make it loud because were not comparing db's. well u seem to agree but want to keep fighting based on your specs, but your not, so im not sure where ur going with this. you say sub is better based on what the driver actually does based on specs so im wrong and you beat yourself. make sense? have nice weekend kids

1. Displacement dicates LINEAR output, so yes its relevant. The only time it's not the major determining factor for output is when you are making a speaker fart out of a high tuned ported box with massive levels of distortion. Then, and ONLY then, is xmax not going to determine output.

2. I never said the XXX was a "better" driver. It's a more accurate driver for just about ANY musical application, and will have lower distortion at any given output level, however.

3. You still never explained how "the lanes" can prove or disprove a single claim I made. Of course, that's because they can't.

4. Physics and objective evaluation > "the lanes"

I'm done with this thread, sorry for the intrusion, but I truly despise the spread of ignorance and misinformation.
