I have a 12" 2006 of course, re MX dual 2 ohm version for sale. Only powered it for about one month with nine.1 and then 2 days with 2500D. Deciding on going a different route with my setup. This sub is pretty amazing, i didn't have it in an ideal sub enclosure and still sounded great, even when it was underpowered by the nine.1 amp.

Letting it go for $475 + $50 shipping from 94602(if it exceeds that, i will cover the rest).

Pictures to come after i get off work tonight sometime

the cone is...the cone
the mx doesn't have a dust cap...just a dished cone
Actually the part you see is the dustcap. There is a cone under the dustcap on MXs, XXXs, and Sxs. What most people think is the cone, is the dustcap. The dustcap covers the whole cone.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

howd it sound on the nine.1 and how much was it being underpowered by the nine.1?
nine.1 advertises 1200rms @ 1 ohm but supposedly gives closer to 1400rms at 14.4v. It sounded pretty good, bass was clear and sounded good even on fast paced beat songs, just wasn't as loud as it possibly be with bigger amp and right size box tuned properly(mine was 2cu ft sealed...too big for sealed).

xmax does not make a sub louder
for farting sure. For music yes it does matter. Please don't talk about subjects you don't understand. Linear output is ALWAYS determined by displacement. If you lack sufficient cognitive efficacy to comprehend that, or you simply aren't educated enough to know what I am talking about, I'd suggest studying up on the subject.

False. How exactly does a driver with a lower xmax (by 10mm), NO XBL^2 (it's a standard overhung driver) beat a driver with 10mm more xmax and XBL^2?
Oh wait, it doesn't.
so your massive education is better than...........the company that made both products and says the sub with no xbl2 and 10mm xmax less is greater. free bump not trin to hate nice sub here
