From these TS parameters only, which speaker appears to be better?

I think this will be interesting. Both of these speakers are from a well known speaker manufacturer. Identical models, on built in 2000 and one built in 2008. I am not going to tell you which one is which, but from the TS parameters, which appears to be slightly better. These are 12 inch drivers.

speaker A:

FS 29.7

VAS 3.1

QTS .419

speaker B:

FS 33.1

VAS 2.31

QTS .465

There are only these three because I could only find those for the 2000 driver. I have my own opinion, but want some expert help from you subwoofer gods out there.

You'd be hard pressed to conclude anything from those alone.

Way too many variables. From the application (which type of box or installation) all the way to what vehicle they're being put in.

Sorry if this was stupid, but these are both Kicker L7's, speaker A being one from the year 2000 or, the original, and one from 2008. I thought it was interesting that the 2000 actually had a bit lower resonant frequency than the new one, power handling is identical, and from what I understand, the lower the QTS, the flatter the frequency response, the better the driver. I know its not a big difference, and I am really not a kicker fan at all, but I got a 2000 L7 for free and was checking out how it compared to the 08 model, and from what I can tell, the 2000 seems to be a bit better on paper. It kinda makes sense if you think about inflation in relation to what you pay for a speaker. The only difference is the 08 has about 2 mm more of Xmax, but I knew if I threw that in, everyone would automatically assume that was the better driver because xmax has warped fragile little minds. I mean, its great if a driver can travel far, but there is a lot more to it than that.

The only difference between the two that I can see is that speaker B requires a slightly larger box for similar response, and by slightly I'm talking .25 cubic feet.

I bet if you used either one in a 3.0 cube ported box, you'd be hard pressed to hear any changes.
