I have two Fosgate amps right now. One is 4X400 pushing my mids and highs. The other is a 2X250 pushin my Kicker 12" VR. My question is this, is it true that Fosgate's 4 channel amps are not good for mids and highs, that they also give off that high pitch noise and that they overheat like crazy? Please tell me this is just a stereo salesman trying to up-sell me and not the truth. Thanks for your help.

i personally think that fosgate amps are only good for subs. alot of people talk about overheating alot, but i never found it to be an issue. sure i just got my new fosgate amp now, but the one i had before had no problems. as a matter of fact, my friend is running it now and he has no problems either.

I have used a Fostgate 400.4 to run mids and highs. For the $$$ I wouldn't recommend it. As **** mike Hawk said, keep them for running subs. I also have Pioneer and Alpine 4 channel amps and they worked better than Rockford for the application. I wouldn'r worry about the road noise issue. I've never heard of that complaint before. I also have a Rockford 360.2. This amp tends to overheat on me on hot summer days when its been cranked up loud for an hour or so.
