First time setup help?

I have a 2007 malibu LT. I have pretty good default sound system but i'm looking for something better. Someone told me i don't need a new deck because mine tells me all of my info. I'm Looking to spend around 300-400 on a good amp and subs. I'm Looking for something nice that people can hear from a good distance.

you could get decent or good subs and amp for that price but its all in the install...

hell 400$ would buy 2 good 12's a good 1000 watt rms monoblock to push em and a good quality install kit if ya know where to look or buy from

but heard from a "good distance" in a trunk car? maybe for around 2-3000 $$$

Ok i changed some things up. What should i get that would sound good in a malibu 2007 lt. I want poeple to hear me when i drive. Some tips would be nice? like what kind and how many watts for the amp/sub?

Somewhere around $800-$1000.

Should i go to bestbuy? or a small shop?
