First time alarm install

Hail to the King Baby!!!!
Okay so I have some questions and need some advice.

I have a Viper 5002 that I plan on putting in my 99 civic.

How long approximately will it take? I am also adding a glass break sensor instead of the shock sensor, and a backup battery for right now.

For the keyless entry, do I need to use relays when I connect it or can I just tap directly in?

What are all the aux ports for on the brain? Expandability I am assuming.

Thats it for now.

99 civic uses negative trigger door locks, so you are not going to need any extra relays, they are already in the car from the factory.

The time it takes to install is going to depend on how much time you want to put into it. Do you just want to connect wires and have it work, or do you want to take factory wire looms apart and mask the install, solder wires, mount the brain behind the glove box or under the center console, putting an alarm under the dash and just T-tapping wires isn't a very effective installation.

My creto - if you are going to do it, take the time to do it right the first time. If you don't have the time, pay some one else to do it. If you don't have the money, then safeguard your car in other ways (IE - remove door lock rods, remove trunk release rods, etc etc.)

Not to threadjack, but I have a 2003 accord. Are the locks the same way you described for me as well? No additional relays? I am removing most of my interior to do sound deadening, so it's a good time for me to do it. Any other additional materials that need to be purchased?

the accord will have negative trigger door locks as well located on the passenger side iirc.

werd.

Yea I plan on doing it right the first time. I am hiding the brain in the rear of the car behind a panel, therefore making it near impossible to get to. I know I am going to have to extend all the wires and everything.

maybe it is just me, but I wouldn't follow that word for word, if it is pasted all over the internet, a thief could easily steal your car. Having your alarm install pasted for everyone to see isn't an effective alarm install.

BE CREATIVE!!!!

First alarm I did took me all day. But that was taking my time and being careful. Why not use both glass and shock sensors? Add a couple mini piezos in the vents as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Got another question. Should I put the antenna on the front or rear glass?

Rear has tint on it, front does not.

Also I assume I have to program both remotes? Can someone explain how it is done for both the lcd and the other one. I guess the other one is for valet or something.
