I am very much a noob to car audio and I'm wondering wether two of these subs would work with this amp?

Yes it will work but the subs will wire to 2ohm so they will only get 250w each.

There are much better options out there. The reason why people aren't responding to your thread is because we don't know your budget, what car it is going in, what type of music you listen to (helps decide sealed or ported box), etc.

Also, take a look around the website. I've seen about 5 of these types of threads in the past few days. You can find good amps and good subs for the same price of those Pioneers that will be wayyyyy better. Just spend an hour doing some research around here and then if you can't decide between a couple different types of amps or a couple different types of subs, then we can help you make a choice.

No, those two products are not a good match. Look for the same woofer but in the 2ohm model, and that would be a perfect match. Nothing wrong with that equipment, especially at that low of a price. Be careful, most people on this forum see a name brand and automatically think it's junk and there is better for the money with some new unheard of company. I am not saying that this is accurate or not, but 99.9% of people on this forum will suggest it.

Get the GM-D9601 amp instead. I just bought one and will be running it at 1200 WRMS @ 1 ohm.
