Hey, I Try.
So I wanted to test the accuracy of t/a'ing with holmimpulse. Something I just learned last night.
The Subwoofer DIY Page v1.1 - Time Alignment using HolmImpulse
No fancy cards, just mic input and headphone jack (generally green audio out) for speakers
My set up.
VERY basic 2.33ghz laptop,
Holmimpulse software
The mic thats included with the 80prs. Something many of us should have around.
A yardstick.
I followed the instructions in the link.
Set up my first "speaker, which should be the farthest away but i made it the closest" at 12in. I moved the mic instead of my speakers for ease, it would give the same exact response regardless of what I had moved.
^^ Initial response and zero'd ^^
Moved to 24 inches.
^^ As you can see, it equates to about a 30 cm(12in) difference. ^^
The green line is at 13 inches instead of 12, for reference.
