This is my first subwoofer installation and I have taken some pictures. Tell me how everything looks, and if I can improve anything.

Grounding was incredibly easy on my car, I just loosened a bolt holding down the seat belt, put the ring on, and then tightened the bolt back on. I am suprised I have never read this tip anywhere, I found at least 5 good bolts that I could have used. A lot of people seem to be making their own holes.

The picture of my box is just the frame, I still need to add the outside. I am using 1" MDF, and the frame is also MDF.

Anything you guys would change?

seems like some people recommend not using the seat as a grounding spot. might want to find out why though because I'm not positive.

Whats the amp powering? should be pretty loud!

Change that ground! Go for the Chasis of the car of the main frame....

And don't Rivet that sucker in there....bolt her or screw here down!

Perfect spot ='s right underneath that spare tire!!!!!!!!!!! Strip down the paint and there ya go!

Ground it to the frame...not the body pannels
I understand ideally the frame would be best, but is it really going to make a difference with a 600 watt rms amplifier, one subwoofer, and 4 gauge wire? To get to the frame I would have to make my ground wire longer than 18 inches, would that make me worse off?

Your ground length is the distance from the neg terminal of the amp to the neg terminal of the battery including all wire and car metal. A little bit more wire to get a better ground from the sheetmetal isn't a bad thing. I would be much more concerned with doing what I needed to do to get a good ground spot on the chassis (if I were to use that, I don't personally, but that's beside the point) than keeping the ground wire shorter than 18". The idea is to keep the whole ground path as short and resistance free as possible, not just the excellent conducting piece of copper wire going from the amp, but the relatively poor conducting sheetmetal and only slightly better conducting "frame" as well.
