First Build - Need Opinions!

View attachment 26546533You really don't want the subs firing up it limits what sub you can use. Either front firing or down is best down you can damage the subs front gives you more options but 8s or 10s will be your best bet here here's mine

The mounting depth of a 12" Alpine Type R is 6 3/8". What would the mounting depth of my box need to be to accommodate that?

After realizing the poor quality system I had planned out before, I've decided to start fresh. It would be great if I could get some help in working forward to learn new things while I take on my first build. I would like my build to turn out something similar to this Silverado build by silveradokid awhile back.

Again, my main intentions for subs is loudness. I have came up with a few new subs that I can work into my budget.

My top two choices, as of now, are either the 12" Alpine Type R or a 12" sub from Sundown Audio.

i would say the soundqubed hds312 or the dcon ssa sub.....

was going to offer up my 10" ssa gcon D2 but i noticed you are looking for a 12"...... looking 170 shipped for it...barely used

With the research I have come up with so far, I plan to get preferably two Sundown SA12's, possibly two Alpine Type R's.

I have done the math, and I am going to have a custom box build. I may have to add seat spacers, depending on which subs I choose.

I have also been looking at an Audiopipe APSM1500 amp wired with a 0 gauge kit.

I am going to to a big 3 upgrade, and I have not had time to look at speaker upgrades.
