Are you saying this is bad equipment?
give me min and ill see what i can come up with. idk about a pair of 12s tho. 1 12" if you can fit a ported box can be just as or louder then 2 12s in a sealed box.

Any suggestions?
Sub:

Soundqubed HDS3-12 from amazon at $139 or you can get one directly from Soundqubed's website. its a 1200rms sub ***GET A DUAL 2 COIL IF YOU GET THIS SUB***

Amazon.com: SoundQubed HDS312-D2 1200W RMS: Car Electronics

Amp:

Audiopipe Apsm-1500 for $114.95 shipped new with warranty (wire it at 1ohm with the dual 2ohm sub)

This amp will be enough for this sub.....

Box Wise:

You would have a estimated $246 left over. Measure under you seat and get dimension that are available. Take some(it wont take all the money to do it) money and get a custom box built to fit under there and get a 4" aeroport for it to save on space instead of a slot port. Slots take up more space.

In the end im betting that you will/should have ATLEAST $125 over from this

Hope this helps lol

Thanks a lot! I appreciate it. You've been a lot of help.

Except you have to either build the box yourself or have it built both of which can be troublesome with a truck boxes shape.

Honestly a subthump maxx box for under the seat and a pair of decent 10s would sound great.

a pair of ia i series would work good in a sealed box. And you could throw a decent amp like a rockford 500w which are usually easy to find on craigslist.

buy some good wire do the big three and there you go a system for atound 500. Maybe more I really didnt look up are the values but if memory serves correct couldnt be more than 600

yea i guess i should have told to do a bunch of extensive measuring to be more accurate

Steel stamped basket. 2" coils. Just a cheap knockoff of the dd 1500 series but not built as good or with the better dd parts
2.5 inch coils and for 80 bucks hard to beat for a 500 dollar system. id rather put the money into a quality box from fox acoustics

For $600, I was able to get a Sundown SA-10, CT Sounds 750.1, a Sky High 4 gauge amp kit (put together by bbeljefe) and get a custom box built out of birch. It will end up running about $750 installed, but I want to upgrade my interior speakers as well, so I'm waiting to have everything installed at once.

Thank you very much to everyone who's been replying. So far, all of the information given has been very useful. As I make decisions with help of everyone on this forum, I will post everything up to date. I have no doubt that I will be able to put together an excellent system for a great price.
