hey all i'm building my first ported box. it's for a dd 9515. i got dimensions from dd themself. here they are :20" Deep, 15" Tall, 34" Wide. I'm not sure what the dimensions of the port will be. I need help on how to place the port wood inside of box. I'm making out of 3/4 mdf btw. When I go to place to get wood what dimensions should I cut the wood into? And what should the dimensions of the port wood be? Can you'll post pics boxes' inside. This way I can get an idea of what goes where and all. Thanks a lot everyone!

it's all going in the back of a 1990 audi 80 sub will be powered by jbl 1200 at one ohm. dd says this is supposed to be a 4 cubic ft box. they didn't say what to tune it to though. but if you have dimensions for a 3 cubic ft box that would be great too to save some space b/c as of now i have no room what so ever. I'd actually rather a 3 cft box so it can actually move some air in the trunk.

If your asking how big the port should be then you have opened a can of worms. It depends on what freq. you want the box porrted at. I can tell you that if your port was 3" wide the you should keep it at least 3" off the sides and bottom of your enclosure.

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
