firing sub up in trunk car, what you guys think?

in my friends cavy we switched from sub back port back to sub up port back and it was noticeabley louder. this could have been because of a better built box though

the only problem i have is the rear deck shaking like crazy.

ya looks like a nice set up. thats another thing. do i want it firing up under the rear deck or the trunk lid?

mine are more under the deck, rather than the lid itself

The trunk lid weighs about 3-4 times the stock trunk lid weighs...one layer of dynamat extreme, all voids filled with expanding foam, then a thick coat of spectrum sludge //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

oh nice. im going to buy the second skin trunk pack and do a couple layers on the trunk lid and rear deck and see what happens.

If you watch the vids in the "Saturn Play-Time" thread in general section I uploaded recently...I knock on the trunk lid and it's just a 'thud'

well not necessarily, but one 15 is cheaper then 2 12s. i want to go with a 15 inch omega on like 3k so so its saves me a little green, i can spend on a table saw to make a couple different boxes.

i have fired up in a trunk car with high 40's with 15s. the trick is to fire up with the subs to the front of the box. seal it so the bass cant go behind the subs into the rear of the trunk. i had a port firing over the subs about 4" high by 25" just behind the subs.
