I'm going to be running (2) DD 1510's

Just looking for something good on music with nice response and can handle the lows also for my DAILY driver.

Notes:

04 Accord Trunk install

1500-1700w

Leaning towards (2) 4" aeroports

unless you can suggest a specific box design best for these

subs back/port side or Subs back/port back

what should i tune to?

DD suggests 1.5 cubes so i'll probably just go with 3 cubes

Any suggestions would be great......

Thanks in advance.

mmm thatll be a great setup, either port/sub back or subs forward/ports to pass side in the back....2 4" aeros would be perfect //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

tune to 38hz with the aeros

x2

you should be very happy with that. build your box to about 2.7cuft and the 38hz tuning should be perfect.

should put up some good #'s too, i have 1 1508 with 1k on it in an s-10 and i average low 139's sealed on the dash.

Thanks, I hope it turns out nice.

I really want to face them into the cabin but I have an odd shaped trunk not sure if it'll work.

so, 3cubes @ 38hz w/ 2 4" aeros

no, its not. that little basterd gets down. with the windows half way open i got a best 140.4 and could smell the coil a little.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

I always used slot ports ....for the most part...I think measurements work different with aeros....but with slots and that much power .... I'd do 2.5 shared chamber plus port...40 sq inches of port opening....22" long....Port and subs rear firing...I have a 99 Accord sedan but I think my trunk is different than yours....

on a 3 cu ft box plus port by my calculations would need 48 sq inches of port which is much closer to four 4" ports not two.....

do you mean 2.5 before sub displacements?

im currently building a 5 cubed box with 3 4" ports 12.5" long tuned at 36 for 1 9515. how long you gonna cut your ports?
that will be sick.. pix?

OP, i think 3cubes at 35-40hz would slam... I have never used areo ports, only slotted.. so i have no valuable pearls on that subject

no pics yet i will be doing all my cuts tomorrow i just cut the 3 4.5" holes out and cut my pvc down tonight at work. do you know the cut out diameter for the 9515 mine is the d motor it won't be here until tue . and sorry to thread jack

so you're saying I won't have enough port? and that 3 cubes would be external right with port and 2.5 for the chamber?

38hz for my enclosure would be about 13-14" long i think?

I'm starting to re-think the aeros. we'll thats if someone familiar can confirm that i'll need 4 instead of the two everyone else said would be fine.

I use Waze on my 1500 NEX. The one time I did have issues I had to delete weblink and redownload it. I have location to "while using" on weblink app.

Well, there is always a bypass that can be McGuyvered. So next time you want to tackle that task, post it. We can help.
