firewall / where to drill?

Yes fords are a *****. I found a space that looked good in my firewall, drilled there then found out there were 2 firewall pannels, and one is at an angle so its impossible to drill through it from the angle im coming at. The drill bit just slides off, even with a small bit. Now i have a hole in the inner pannel of my firewall...nice.

I need to find a new spot now.

my friend has a 95 ranger thats a manual with ac and he went right through were the brake pedal is.

My B3000 was easy to find a place (just had to move a few vacume hoses) but the firewall was thick as a ***** where it is clear. Dulled my $30 step bit. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif
