Buzz sound in rear speakers

I switched out my front 6.5s to CDT EF-61 components w/ 1" tweeters, but I left the rear 6x9s stock. I have a Alpine CDE-9852 HU on and a Aura RPM2300 amp to power the front speakers, while rear speakers are hooekd up to HU. There is a weird buzzing sound on the rear 6x9s at certain parts of songs. It also happens when the radio is turned on to a talk show, you can hear the continous buzz. Is it just because that the rears are pretty bad compared to the fronts, so you can hear the buzz?

This is in a 97 Camry LE

Oh, that makes a lotta sense. Any reason why you think it burned out? Maybe its because of the new HU that powers the rear speakers now?

I'll probably try disconnecting them and see how it sounds without the rears. Thanks for informing me.

Is the buzz a mechanical noise (meaning its comming from the physical parts of the speaker) or an electrical noise (meaning eminating from the speaker in the form of audiable distortion / noise) ?? Makes a big difference on trying to determine the problem if we decide which is what. But those 6x9's should be just fine to hook up the head unit with in conjunction with the Ef's.....allthough the EF's will be severely underpowered and probably sound kinda like poo just running off of head unit power.

Sounds like an electrical noise, almost like a high pitched buzz, emitting from the speakers at certain parts of a song or at certain times. Doesn't seem like either speakers are blown at all.

The EFs are running off a Aura 150x2 amp, forgot to mention that.

Sorry for an reviving an old thread, but I had my rear 6x9s replaced by Kenwood KFC-6990ie 6x9s. Even with new speakers, there is still a buzz. Less of an obvious buzz and occurs less, but a buzz nonetheless. It is more of an electrical buzz, typically the kind you hear from a radio on bad speakers turned up. The buzz still occurs when playing form mp3s or even the radio.

There was no buzz prior to me installating the Alpine HU. The rear speakers are connected to the Alpine HU via the stock speaker wires, would that make a difference?
