and the wiring

that amp doesnt wire down to 1 ohm so you will need dvc 2 subs so you can get the correct resistance for that amp. but in my opinion with your price range, you should go with what i suggested. i own that amp( the hifonics) and it does work for its price. cant find better in my opinion

dvc= dual voice coil (just means it has two pairs of positive and negative hookups on your sub, it gives you more options for hooking up your subs to the amp. )

the 2 just means dual 2 ohm voice coils pretty much all subs will have 2 or 4

2 will wire down to 2 ohm load, perfect for your kicker

4 will wire down to 1 ohm

RMS is the output power of the amp some one who knows more can go into detail with rms and all that techy shit

The sundown would be better for you cuz it needs less power and puts out more power

rms just means how much the amp will put out continuosly or how much the sub can handle

its the only # you pay attn to

and cheap brands will even exaggerate that

He is going to need to know how to do big 3, show him the sticky link. When I ran my BL I had a kinetik 800Hc front a 2400Hc in the back. I would reconmend Picking up a 800Hc you can find them on ebay for 100$...I don't think a stock battery Can handle 1500rms. What do you think??? that sundown only needs 12.4 voltage So he might be fine with the car running.
