Ports are 6" aero's and will be coming out of the rear deck, which will eventually be a fiberglass enclosure for them, but for now will just be made of wood and carpeted or vinyled, dont worry the ports will be flush with the rear deck covering I'll make basically, the pics just show the actual sub enclosure

9.5 cubes after all displacements including amp rack, tuned to around 28hz, might end up going higher more like 32-34. Amp rack will have plexiglass over it, and I'll most likely add a couple fans to the sides of the amp rack and vents for them to be constantly moving air through it

I was planning on using threaded rods to brace everywhere, probably 3 or 4 going every direction bracing every big wall, should that be enough? I know its only 56 sq in of port area but these aren't huge displacement or power subs and the flares should take care of port noise, winISD shows a port velocity of .05 mach

anyway...jsut lookin for opinions, already have the baffle built and floor cutout as well as one side, been kinda workin on this for a couple days now, took out my old boxes last friday

How far from the bottom of the box are the inernal port ends? I would want them fairly far from the bottom, maybe 10", if possible. Are you going to seal around the areo ports along the rear deck? Or just have them sticking up through big open holes?

Is this for AQ hdc3 15's? If yes, this install could be an spl monster IMO at 34hz, with copper coils and your AQ2200.

I'm working with it right now, port length, unsure. If WinISD shows a port velocity of .05 that means I should be fine port noise-wise, even without the flares right? Its going to be difficult to fit the bottom flares in, so I'm thinking I'll just leave em off, how will having only one side (the outer side coming out the rear deck) flared compare to having both sides of the ports flared?

Oh and, I mentioned earlier, but no the ports wont just be sticking out like that, there's my rear deck inbetween, and then I'll build a rear deck covering with mounting rings where the ports will be, and eventually redo that and make my whole rear deck covering fiberglassed and paint it nice and shiny. Half the motivation for this install is how fvcking nice and clean its going to look (I hope) especially with the seats up.

I don't know why I confuse your 2607 with the 2200 lol.

I thought from another thread you where moving to 15's? I guess this box is for the MJ's.

.05 sounds good to me, 150 sqin of port only comes up with a .04 mach, not much better.

lol I see, I was considering 15's in a bandpass which is probably what you saw, decided I'd do this instead with what I've already got.
