John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal lifeBut didnt Jesus die so our sins are forgiven?
Jesus died so that our sins could be forgiven if you accept him as Christ Your Lord and Savior. Your sins are not automatically forgiven through Jesus, but if you repent and accept him as your Savior your sins could ultimately be forgiven and you may enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
We are born with original sin due to Adam and Eve eating from the forbidden tree. The original sin resulted in a negative change in the state of human nature. We could have lived eternally in holiness, but because of the original sin; Then why are we born with original sin?
"Human nature, without being entirely corrupted, has been harmed in its natural powers, is subject to ignorance, suffering and the power of death, and has a tendency to sin."
So God sent his only son, who was without sin, to redeem us, to die for us so that we may be forgiven if we accept him as our Savior.
See above. That's not in-depth theology, but the general jist of things.......explained by an athiest of all people!Wouldnt that mean he died in vain?
