But didnt Jesus die so our sins are forgiven?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life

Jesus died so that our sins could be forgiven if you accept him as Christ Your Lord and Savior. Your sins are not automatically forgiven through Jesus, but if you repent and accept him as your Savior your sins could ultimately be forgiven and you may enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Then why are we born with original sin?

We are born with original sin due to Adam and Eve eating from the forbidden tree. The original sin resulted in a negative change in the state of human nature. We could have lived eternally in holiness, but because of the original sin;

"Human nature, without being entirely corrupted, has been harmed in its natural powers, is subject to ignorance, suffering and the power of death, and has a tendency to sin."

So God sent his only son, who was without sin, to redeem us, to die for us so that we may be forgiven if we accept him as our Savior.

Wouldnt that mean he died in vain?

The Crusades were a series of religion-driven military campaigns waged by much of Christian Europe against external and internal opponents. Was land involved, YES, i agree with that, but not the MAIN factor. Early Romans would either inslave, or kill certain persons who wouldn't convert to their faith, I'm sure they called themselves "Christians" too. Anything else you want to add?

It's a lie. The CRUSADES were all a lie. The high up people knew they could get all these idiots to fight for them if they said it was because God told them to. Also most past Romans weren't Christians. And you are INCORRECT because catholic preachers wouldn't call themselves anything else but catholic. Catholics are catholics and christians are christians. You can do anything and say it's under the name of God, doesn't make it right and or true.

I won't argue the fact that people claim they are killing people in the name of God. But the bible also says that there will be constant wars between men over material possession, land, etc. and use My name. I don't care what people call themselves, but if your doing stuff like this, you're not a christian and if you believe you are, you need to read a different bible...Do you have anything else you would like to add?

Let's see here, we have Peter, who preached the teachings of Jesus to the "Romans". Further spreading Christian belief. And you're saying Romans weren't Christians. Ok.

Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, etc are all Christian denominations. They all have one thing in common though, whats that you ask, Christianity. Man, I ain't trying to start a war here, but seriously mayne, this last post you made some bad points. Look up early Roman Catholicism, google that and Christianity. It might help. Okay, around my area in Salisbury this lady my girlfriends grandmal knows was riding through town. She seems a boy on the side of the road. She NEVER EVER picks up hitchhikers, but she had a strong urge that day to pick the boy up. Boy gets in the car and she takes off. ( Don't know actual conversation ) BUT the boy said this "God has his lips on the trumpet, and he is coming soon" then the lady simply replied "I'm a Christian", and she looked over at him and the boy was NOT there......She pulled over and was freaked out.....a cop rides by and see her trembling and pulls over and walks up to her car. Asks the lady "Are you okay mam?" and the lady thought to herself that she shouldn't tell the cop because the cop would think she was crazy but she told the officer anyways. And the cop replied "Mam I don't think your crazy, in fact I am a christian myself and this is the 6th time this has happened today" !@!%@^&%!@&^
I believe in God and I'm saved and everything, but when I heard this story its almost impossible to not believe you know? And all these predictions of the world ending and everything, it all seems to be coming true.....
