FierceTimbo's SQ Build Log

I had 250 on my ES06+ I had to be careful with it though..
200 crossed at 63hz, 12db slope should work quite well.
Im only going to have 120-140, however im using an older cdt es 1884 driver. The yellow cones before the es06's

I personally like them more than the new 06+ line

its at a good start where u are ... but u will upgrade soon.. look into HAT or dynaudio

i had SLS6.5's in doors for midbass rainbow profi 4's in kicks and image dynamics XS28's in pillars had a Arc KS300.4 on the 4's and tweets and another 300.4 bridged on the 6's sounded awsome just couldnt stop tweaking and it drove me crazy..SQ is nice if u have the patience

Ive been wanting to try a hybrid 3 way, i just want to get these installed to the fullest potential and if they dont satisfy im most likely going with an L8 paired up some full body horns

ive been realllly busy lately, had the past few days to work on my car. Other than today didnt get much done because my friends were helping and we bullshitted/drank to much to really get anything done.

However here is todays progress.

Just to bring everyone up to date everything is pretty much deadened with mat, roof has sludge rear quarter panels have spectrum as well as the strut towers.

Then everything was covered in overkill (foam).

When i went to spray my spectrum this is what i found.....do not let it sit around for 1 1/2 years lol

However after mixing and pouring in some magic resin Ant sent me it was back to normal, didnt get any pics of applying it.

Heres the rcas techflexed and secured and in the dash, also notice the foam all on the floor. And yes i deadened my ECU

Im hoping i can get the rest of the quarter panels stuffed tomorrow, finish techflexing and then get the interior back in so i can build my false floor

good idea with the fiberfill stuff. not permanent, and should work well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

im glad my gti has inspired you, too bad my tinypic account got deleted due to some ***** ladies on it lol.

keep us in the updated. and a quick tip - to trim the fiberglass for the baffle to be nice and flat, i used a chisel and hammer. sanding took too long. in my thread i sandwiched some wood under the baffle and filled the edges with kitty hair for extra strength, and then i chiseled out the lip so it could sit on the factory panels. dont know how yours fits already, but that was my experience //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

The fiberfill so far seems to be working. The rear used to be where the most road noise came from, noticably reduced, sounds better than when i had my panels on. When i get them in i hope its a big difference.

Didnt get alot, just finished techflexing all the wires, now gotta go label them but ill do that tomorrow probably. Im glad im done its always so time consuming just like deadening.

Power wires done, doing 1/0 from battery to distro for positive and ground, then 4 gauge to each amp

Even did the remote

Speaker harness's came out really good, quick disconnects will be shrink wrapped with the male pieces that are already soldered to the speakers. Also color coded and tinned for easy polarity adjustments.
