youre straight on that power as long as you know what youre doing with your install or know someone who does. I've heard of a guy giving them 4k+ daily cough{stevemeade}cough... just know what youre doing

Yes, the BTL will take it. I am assuming you are going to set the gain properly and prevent clipping. Outside of that, it will be fine.

They can take the well over that in power as long as you don't screw up the install.

thats because it does rated power at 16 volts IIRC.
