1. How many watts from an amp can i get out of my 90 amp alternator, the reason im asking is because i recently sold my kickerzx1000.1(1186rms) and had little dimming and am looking for a new amp.

2. I was wondering if i bought an amp with more power if it would be a waist of money because i might not be gettin all its potential?

3. What do i look for in specs to find an efficient amp?

ooo and also, is running an amp 1ohm have more strain on my electrical system then running say 2 or 4 ohms

it all depends on the amp draw of the amps that will tell you if ur electrical is stranging. in ur case if ur ights were dimming do the big3 a new alt. should be ur last option.abetter battery would help also.

yes running at a lower impedance will put more stress on your electrical system

you need to do the big 3 and perhaps add an additional battery and you should be fine electrical-wise

well i have a long list right now, but im looking for something to run a fiq and something that has more power and is more efficient than the kicker, my budgets $350-360
