Few New 2007 Alpine Head Units

Crutchfield has these two headunits.. may be the 2007 models?

Alpine CDE-9881 and CDA-9885

This thing is cheaper than the current CDA-9857 and it comes with 3-preamps at 4-volts!

I still find the 6 green buttons to be gaudy and very unappealing. I would love Alpine Hu if they would just get rid of those **** buttons

Agreed. I think Alpine should give their headunits a facelift.

ya i was planning on getting that when it came out, but the pioneer 6800 just more features

are they going to put stuff like time alignment and 3-way xovers back in their hu's

As mentioned it looks like they've increased the preamp output to 4V on the CDA-9885, but it still has a flip down (not motorized) face & no mention of color options on the buttons.

The price did drop though (compared to a 9857). Maybe they'll come out with a HU in the $350/$400 range that has the features of the 983* series (we can only hope).

If they're dropping the prices then obviously the quality has dropped as well. I don't see them reinstating the features they used to put in their mid level decks if they keep dropping the prices lower and lower.
