and yea, all the ugly shit will be covered by the beauty panel. eventually the whole hatch/ peice where the amp is mounted will be glassed together and painted to match the car when it is painted(candy orange). and it will have proffesional body work done on it by whoever paints it. i think for my first time doing a fiberglass box, let a lone a painted one it looks great.

all comments suggestions are welcomed/ appreciated. i know i have MUCH room for improvement...

and that means?

and please dont say, you should have done the whole thing....it would be a waste of time seeing how it will need to be all sanded off for when it is fused to the rest. and also, those lines that you see in the second last pic on the right side is just where i whiped it with a cloth and it didnt dry hah

glad you're covering the sides. i was wondering for a second there.
haha ya, i would have liked to have just done the whole thing....but the customer grew very impatient (i put in 4-5 hours a night after an 8-9 hour shift at my full time job during the three weeks i worked on it. not every night of course(just the last 5 days)) so i just wanted to get it done...and also we had agreed that is what we were going to do and just cover it with the beauty panel. on that same note, the next time i do work like this im going to just say it will take as long as i need...not quote him a certain amount of time. the guy had the nerve to ***** to me about it taking one extra week after i put in probably 25 hours in during 5 days to get it done asap. people just dont realize the amount of time these things take.

so other than that, how does it look lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

thanks dude. and ya haha i hope i get a chance to byuild the panel soon so he doesnt have to have it like that. makes it look like shit work unless you know what its suppose to look like finished...

i should add that only the last three pics are how it sits now. the ones before that are before i repainted it after sanding with a very high grid paper

Looks nice man, Was this the frist time you've used fiberglass or built a fiberglass box?
thanks. it was my second time fiberglassing period. the first time all i did was build a shitty pair of kick panels for 6x9's in my truck. and i only used one layer on those and less than a quart of resin..so this was a slightly larger project haha. 4+ layers all over, and 2.5-2.75 quarts of resin. and then of course the 10+ layers of duraglass, bondo, etc
