Well some of you may remembr me askng about this car before. anyhow he dropped it off earlier and i got right to work. first off i bought all the supplies i would need for now, then i started laying the tape on top of the deadening. Next i sprayed expanding foam over akward pieces so i can shape around them so there are no sharp corners.

i ****ing hate whoever owns that car. i had to settle for my rsx //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif was going to drive down to SC and pick up a beast of a 300zx, 409whp@17psi //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif , woulda cost too much to maintain and been a bit too impractical for me to own at this age..good luck though

this is kinda how it will be. the 12" type x will be angled forward by a few degrees. it will then extend downwards and curve towards the edges. kinda like a **** lol. then the part inside of the red line will be painted black or red. and the rest will be covered by a false floor which will most likely be black carpet. gives you a general idea atleast

yea i drove this around the block. it rides very nice but i dont like the shifter/clutch as much as the skylines. perhaps that is why the manuals are very rare for this car. anyhow it is fun to drive and i do like that it is is rwd. doesnt pull as hard as the awd gtr...but still goes like stink when you want it to. all in all, vey nice:fro:

lol a rsx isnt bad, its not like your driving a ford focus or dodge neon lol. throw a turbo into the rsx, the 300zx isnt all that anymore.

in terms of performance, not rarity, i would love to own a tt 300zx, but if i had the chance, 240Z FTW

yea they are sweet. anyhow, going back to the topic on hand, i have been workng on it all morning/afternoon from about 8 to 1:30. i started out by cutting the foam which had explanded and cured over night. it gave my a nice platform to build off of. i then taped over it all, and proceded to lay the aluminum foil and lay it down aswell. then i had to drive to the city to buy fiberglass matte and another gallon of resin. here are some pics

thanks guys:)

i just checked on it, and it is curing nicely. there are a few places with little air bubbles but nothing major. it will get another layer tonight, then ill let it cure over night.

I love 300zx's but I don't like the body kit (I don't like body kits on many cars, lip kits ftw)....that front bumper is a bit too ricer for me, but awesome car either way. I've not seen many RHD 300zx's. Look forward to seeing the build

well apperently this isnt even a fairlady. the fairlady is the 4 seater im told. however my buddy who is an istaller who told me this also told me that the mold is looking good. so im good to go and do the next layer:)
