F150 suggestions

I have a 1997 f150 extended cab and I am looking for ideas as to what to get subs. I currently have an Infinity 12.1 Perfect hooked up to a profile AP1000M. Its in a shitty ported box from best buy and I'm tired of it taking up one of the back seats. I'm wanting to put one or two subs under the back seat. I'm not going to be able to do anything right now due to my being a broke college kid, but I made the mistake of not researching before getting my current set up so I want to get an early start on it. I'm looking to get it louder and keep sound quality if possible.

Put a box on the back seat. I have an 03 f150 and I'm in the process of putting a HDC318 back there.

That's what I have now, but I wanted to open up the backseat so I have all the seats available. For now I'm going to build a sealed box and set it on the seat but I want to get something for under the seat.

get a custom built box for under the seat. You can buy some prefab boxes online. Just get two shallow mount subs like JL's or Stereo intergrity has some shallows i believe. Just get a pair of those that can handle alot of power.

You could also look the full bench seat and replace it with captains for the back and do a rear center console box. and a front console box either way.

I had one other person suggest I get the Sundown E8's with seat. I would do the bench seat conversion to the bucket seats, but it being a 1997 I only have one back door, so that could get somewhat cumbersome. I think I'm just going to make an under the seat box. Should I go with 8's, 10's or 12's?

yea thats true didnt think about that haha. Go with a pair of 12's sealed, ported if you got the room if not then go 10's ported. or even 4 8's ported

Just since u dont have much airspace you can run subs that have alot of power handling and u can run alot of power to them since they wont be in a big enclosure

Sounds good. Now I just have to decide if I want to go w/ the 8's or 12's. Either way I think I'm going to go sealed just because I want SQ and if I put enough power to them I can get somewhat loud.

if you are going sealed then go with 2 12's but you can do ported and still have SQ

i have two RE 10's that are in a down firing box in my F150....I'm powering them on the sub ch of my Memphis Belle...They sound pretty nice
