Im thinking about building a box for my F150 supercrew that would split the rear bench into two "captains chairs." I would like to put a 15 in it ported. Right now I have an original SOLO-BARIC 15 sealed up, but I just want MORE!!! I was thinking a HDC3 15 (I have about 1600w to work with). Im hoping I could get 3-4 cubes out of this idea.

What do you guys think?

The main thing Im worried about is Ive never built a box before, and Im not really sure where I should put the port?

Have you actually gone anywhere with this yet? What year is your truck? I have an 01 F150 XL / Work series that i was wanting to put a decent little system in. I dont nessicarily want my RE SE 15 in there, So i thought i would go with the two 8" Orion XTR3's i bought for my work truck, Under the "60" part of the split bench. However with 5/8" wood [which i have spare, Figured with bracing it'd be plenty.] i can only get around 1.5cuft, Not nearly enough to go ported.

This box uve got in mind sounds like it'd be a bit more "fitting", However less "Stealthy". Im sure i could come up with some kinda cover tho.

Would the box go down onto the floorboard? or just sit on the seat? How would you Anchor it?

Let me know please, Im looking to do the same thing.

The ones Ive done go all the way to the floor. I used pieces of Flat Stock Steel and bolted them from the underside of the box to Seat Bolts on the floor. You can usually hide these mounting bars under the box, or paint them black (or your carpet color) to hide them. I just recently did one in a Colorado with 2 dd1508's Ported that pounded.

I had a '99 F-150 x cab and I just replaced the stock console with a custom 2cf enclosure complete with cupholders and storage space. Rear firing sub and vent. It looked and sounded awesome and I didnt' sacrifice any space. I'll dig up some pics.

Just pay someone here $15 for a box design comes with a cutsheet and go from there.
are there people here that will do that?

I havent started on this yet, and im not 100% sure when I will. Right now my old kicker is alright, and ive been busy getting my PGs in the doors.

In my 2007 f150 super crew i have the factory nav, sub system, but now also want more, going to do 2 12's under back seat, mold a glass floor to get as much room and use 2 Exile shallow mounts, i will do a build log, just need to find a couple hours to layup the glass. keep an eye out for the thread

alright so I finally got my HDC3! This thing is a monster, but now im just looking for someone to make me a design. I will get dimensions tomorow.
