not trying to be a douche about this, so please don't take offense, but this is why terminal cups are not a good idea to begin with (just like Rashaddd said). you went to all that trouble to make the box air tight and then you put a terminal cup in which can, if not placed properly, lead to air leaks. secondly, around the subwoofer opening, i would have left the carpet off where the subwoofer actually mounts. instead of cutting it at the opening, cut it back where the top ring meets the bottom so you just see plain MDF where the subwoofer will be screwed in. this will help the subwoofer sit better in the box and also keep the carpet from detaching if he ever decides to change woofers. like i said, just my two cents. and the box does look very nice, so big props to you! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So should I rescrew the terminal cup thats what you trying to say??

It was 85 bucks, shipped I believe.

And I believe you would be just fine rescrewing that one screw down...though im pretty certain it'll be fine, i'd give it a try...I still feel pretty bad about it though, man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I'd just unscrew the terminal cup, rotate it 30*, and re-screw it lined up better. Then, you could add some silicon/sealant to the back to make sure it's sealed and won't leak. Also, I've never used a gasket for on any of my subs, 4 or 5 different setups and NEVER had an air leak from the sub mounting.

yes, and perhaps use silicon to seal it, as said above.

i just don't ever recommend using terminal cups in installs. instead, drill a small hole, run your wiring and seal with silicon. it keeps the enclosure air tight. but you don't have a choice really with this one.

Alright, sounds like a plan.

chris when you gonna step it up to some big leagues
Can't do it with this car, need the trunk space. I've gotta edit my sig. I've been dying to run a nice 18, but there's no way with the tiny hatch. Gotta edit the sig, i've got a a slightly better setup, but less bass so I got my trunk back. Gotta post pics of the 'glass enclosure I fabbed up

wow thats pretty harsh ... after all he has done to try to resolve the issue
This is my pinion and it is what it is. I'm not talking about this particular case. As you know people learn from their experiences. This was not the best one and I told the truth.

Talking about this particular case. The guy did everything possible to make it right and I really appreciate it, and have no complains. I'm really satisfied with communication and all the time he put in to fix it. You couldn't expect anything better than that.
