Enclosure build for svarasnj

well if ur happy with his service dont turn business away from him
I'm not turning anything away. His customer service and dedication towards what he does is amazing.

On the other hand I'm not going to lie and say that everything is excellent when it is not??

no reason to say to go to a local shop to and save headache just cause 1 box got screwed up after all the boxes he has made on here
yeah that should have never been brought up in the first place since he fixed the problem next day..

the same thing happened to me with a builder who's name i won't bring up and i had to wait 3 weeks to get my new box

there is no reason for you because you have nothing to do with this. But there is a reason for me, because I have to deal with a final product .

BTW it's friday and i don't want to get aggravated, over simple things like this.

have an nice day.

People make mistakes, sometimes two in a row. If I couldn't build my own box this situation would reinforce my confidence in using one of the builders like Pioneer Saturn. He's already lost money on the deal and is more than willing to lose more just to make it as right as he can.

X2, not to mention he offered to make a third box.

Things happen, and with that said, If you had a shop build this, it may have costed more money, probably not well enough built, and I HIGHLY doubt they'd hook you up with a build thread online, and offer to make you a second and third box. I'm not saying anything bad about any particular shop. I'm just saying, with many shops, this is the case.

this is 100% untrue of shops who care about customer service and building things right. there would be no way my boyfriend and his business partner would turn out something that didn't make their customer 150% satisfied, that wasn't built well, and as a side note, simple installs and their higher end work is up on their website (may not be a build thread, but it's still showing it off). all it takes is for one person to be unhappy for a small business to be affected. if they want to stay in business, they will take care of their customers.

pioneer saturn did a great job building the box, but i offered some simple solutions to try to help him in the future. he obviously did right by svarasnj because he offered to build multiple boxes after the first one was unsatisfactory. svarasnj was not flaming him, but you have to consider that it's very difficult to build a box to specs without having the equipment with you. i think svarasnj was just saying it's easier to have the work done locally because you can make sure things are correct during the process. however, he gave the opportunity to pioneer saturn, and hopefully mistakes will let him learn and grow as a builder for future projects.

amen. This is a good lesson to everyone and please stop pointing fingers left and right, about what should have been done and what shouldn't.

That's the EXACT reason I said "I'm not saying anything bad about any particular shop. I'm just saying, with many shops, this is the case."

I knew someone would jump in and accuse me of putting a bad name on all local shops. I know alot of shops (obviously the ones on the forums) post their customers work, but I don't think it's safe to say the majority of shops do this.

You're right, shops that CASE about doing things right would have done the same thing. Shops that care are becoming a dying breed, in my area, and for many others from what I hear.

That being said, your boyfriend does some great work and I wouldn't label him or his business as one that is careless.

svarasnj: We reacted the way we did to your comments because alot of people on this site have a good reputaton for there business, and it only takes one post that may be misread for that reputation to be lowered, even if only by a little. Losing one customer may as well be 50 customers in some cases.

i'm not disagreeing with you, just pointing out that those that do care wouldn't let someone walk out the door with something that they weren't happy with. i wasn't accusing you of putting a bad name on shops at all. believe me, there are several in our area who have either gone out of business or who are on their way out because of lack of customer satisfaction and/or unsafe/crappy installs. it's too bad this industry has been plagued by careless installers.

you are definitely right about losing one customer being equivalent to losing about 50 since word of mouth is usually the best way to get and keep business. i just think this thing was a little misinterpreted, that's all.

and thank you very much for the nice words about my boyfriend's work. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

wow this was kinda a mess huh? its a very nice box too... btw where do you get the clamps that have the deal on there to keep it square?
Home depot, for around 7 dollars, has those corner-clamps that you're asking about //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
