Electrical upgrades?

well i have a 2002 jeep grand cherokee with a 136 amp. alternator and a 725 amp battery i have 4 gauge running to my distro right now, probably will be getting 0 gauge

i want to run a Brutus 1600 watt amp and a FI Bl 18. do i need any electrical upgrades? if so im guessing just an extra battery or better one under the hood, what would you suggest?

thanks.. thats what i was thinking.. but i was also thinking as a money saver, since i already have 4 gauge runnin to the back, and i have a crap load sitting around the house. If i would run 2 4 guage wires from the batter to the back to a distro and then 0 gauge from the distro would that work just as well?

yellow top sounds about like the route im going to take, that or a red top, but what about the 2 4 guage wires runnin to the back to a distro? or is that just dumb? just tryin to think of a money saver.

the 4 gauge will work.....powermaster makes good batteries as well.

how would i fuse the two runs of 4 gauge? 80 in each or run a short piece of 0 gauge off the battery to a 160 amp fused distro then the two 4 guage from that to another distro in the back that has the 0 gauge to the amp?

Not really, then the 4 guage would be fused for 160 amps if one had a problem it could see the 160A amps before the fuse blew.

I would do the two 80A fuses.

if wire is ran right what problems are gonna happen? either way its up to the op.
