Electrical upgrades in RSX?

Hey everybody, I'm still planning out all my shit for my RSX for the install as soon as I get home from school...I noticed there there may be existing problems with the cars electrical system though..whenever I do any little thing like put down windows, lock or unlock the doors, ect..the lights dim a little bit as soon as I press the button..not sure what that means...but it's got me kinda //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

I'll be puttin in a 4150XXK and Xenon X1200.1, which will probably **** that stock alt which I think is already struggling from a previous system (I found a run of 4ga when I was looking below the back seats)..

Do you guys think these 2 amps will **** this car? I really wanna stay away from putting a 2nd batt in the hatch as my box (2.5ft^3) will take up enough room by itself..I'll probably be replacing the stock batt with a Kinetik 1400 first (of course doing the big 3, that and the car will be run with 1/0 hyperflex //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif ) and if I still have the problems that I'm anticipating, I guess I'll upgrade the alt..I was quoted (amp/price)

for an alt from Dom at Iraggi..kinda high $, so I only wanna go there if I have to..

From your personal experience, what do you guys think I'll have to do?

 
im doing pretty good with stock batt and alt, it only dims if i use bass boost, so stay away from that, otherwise it hangs pretty good. look at my sig VVV, im now running a 15" tc3hp in a 4.5 cf ported box with my back seat removed

I bet that shit gets loud, I'm sure I'll be MORE then happy with the Mag

Also --- Where did you run the 1/0? Haven't really checked that out yet, but I'm probably just going to end up drilling

 
Yeah what he said. I'm doing just fine with my Memphis Belle as well. Drill up and left from behind the brake pedal, there's plenty of room to run wire from the battery straight back on the left side of the car. Real easy to take apart paneling too, lmk if you need help with that.

Thanks man. I had to replace the cover of the gauge cluster so I took all those panels and steering wheel column off, I love how this car is put together..so easy to take apart and put back together, but everything still seems so solid. Glad I went with the Type S over a Mazda 6

 
good choice, im not a fan of mazda =/

the magnum is going to be real loud until about 2 weeks then youll want more lol, i have a 15" avalanche, its way louder then your adverage joes out here.

set aside your alty problem, you should be fine, im running 300.2 and 1000.1 with very slight diming at full volume (redtop under hood, big 3 (excluding +alty to +battery), 4awg knu kollusus)

insanes how did you do complete your big 3?

everyone on clubrsx is stuck on upgrading +alty to +battery, they say either remove your intake manifold, or pull the alty from underneath

After lookin at I'm prolly going to be goin in from the bottom.

See, I'm having that same ordeal as well. Had a bud do a Big 4 upgrade, but we didn't mess with the alt + to battery +. Just seems like such a hassle on a overall cake install kind of car.
