yea dude id be more than happy to go up against you.
have you metered? becuase on music with one 3000d, and as you say, not getting 3000w, i was doing a 147.x sealed up on STOCK electrical, with the window down it was a 151.x.... ill meter tomorow get vids.
again, the whole amp draw thing. say it DOES draw 300a. that'll drain my battery pretty quick huh? that means your alt will recharge it, correct?
weather the alt is 105a like my stock one, or a 300a, its still going to recharge it. the 300a will obviously charge it faster, but either way theyll get charged.
obviously my amp is pretty **** effiecient, becuase its not going below 12v with the car on @ full tilt.
as i said, i dont know what imp rise im actually getting, but ive heard many other setups with 3kw, and i know for sure im not "only" getting 1500-2000 out of my amp. say i add 3 more batterys, its going to help me keep my voltage higher for longer before they drain and the alt kicks in and recharges them, but just becuase i only have a single batt and 105 alt doesnt mean i cant hold 12+ volts at full tilt, thus getting my power.
robin has like 6 batts (maybe more) and last time i checked has his stock alt in the neon (which i think 95 or 100a (smaller than the mini alt) and hes pretty loud and if u wanna go up against him with ur 18, be my guest becuase he will hand you your ***.
and i specificially remember talking to him a few yrs back about HO alts and he feels the same way i do, in which if u have one 300a alt its not completely a waste, but IMO its not worth the money, becuase if your amps are drawing more than 300 amps, its sitll gonna have to wait to recharge. only way i see that they feasible is if you have 4 300a alts, this way you have 1200 amps recharging your batts........ but i mean from 100a to 300a, for the money its not worth 200 amps if your amps are drawing more than 300 amps to begin with... IMO you're better off spending your money on more batteries.
