Like Warbleed just noted, there aren't many facts in this thread. I just want to reinforce the idea that my post is factual. There never ever was a pre- production sale on the 19O.
You may have tried to place an order for one before they were in stock, but they didn't have any sort of 'order now, recieve 5 months later at a cheap price' type of offer going. You are not only incorrect, but you are an ******* about it too.

i don't remember exactly but i believe the pre order started in october or november of last year...the pre-production price was very insane and they said it should be done by early or middle of spring...

i don't think it ever came out until this fall...like i said, i don't remember every fact cus a few months before it came out, i said f#ck it and give me my money back and screw it all...

so NO i didn't try to place a order before it was and stock...

and STILL you are an idiot because you're pulling shit out of your *** because you are wrong and don't know when to stop!

so you grow the F#CK up and get your facts straight...don't make up stuff if you don't really know whats going on...don't assume that i'm making up stuff because i actually put money down on the pre order and you never did...

i don't hate their products and i really don't hate those guys really either...i just think they need to stop BSing and stop making up excuses when they f#ck up...

sorry dude but there are 'other' woofers with high excursions which do not exhibit dimpling. why is that? because proper materials analysis was done on all the components and they are engineered to work correctly.
I stand by my observation 100 percent. If this is a prototype then bleh, doesnt change a thing. Cheap products = cheap manufacturing, cheap R&D budgets. And just because it took a long time for it to come out doesnt mean its gonna be good either :jerkit:

False. Most high profile surrounds with 4"+ p2p excursion are going to dimple at full excursion. Any effects of this dimpling would be noticeable in the cms curve of the driver, if it has so negative an effect on the suspension's funtionality as you suggest.

what were you telling me false for my question to you wasn't whether or not it would have an effect on the subwoofer jus was whether or not was it made with the proper materials...

so like I said I have seen xxx with dimples due to full excursion and you said that would only be due to the use of improper materials so does that mean that xxx wasn't made with the proper surrounds?

Warbleed never said it was due to using improper materials. He said it was due to that type of the surround.

Telegon80 made the statement it was due to improper use of materials. He is likewise completely incorrect in his assessment.

Every subwoofer with a high roll surround will experience that dimpling. It has nothing to do the materials. Just a result of how that style of surround reacts under high excursion.

for the price theyre selling this stuff, i HEAVILY doubt theyre spending time and money on researching how their product behaves before manufacturing.

I have no grudge with eD. A bunch of my friends run their subs and are super happy with them because of the price they paid.

QOuted the wrong person which is why I was confused by his response..

but ive been told by numerous people that the dimpling has no affect on the subwoofers performance which is why I used the xxx as an example a high profile sq sub made by RE...

but I guess this is a subject that people will agree to disagree with unless some kind of proof can be bought to the table which I would like to see..

They are supposed to be pretty inexpensive but who knows at this point. This video is the first of a prototype that could still change drastically. Hell, the eD techs at ICIX are still asking people what they would like to see in this driver. I mentioned that the mounting bracket be changed to something similar to the Ov2 and Kv2 style. Other than that I think it looks good so far. Numbers are being throw around at ICIX as far as price, t/s parameters, and rec. enclosure but like I said, who knows right now. I'm expecting between 3 and 4 hundred for this 13.
