Yea it takes alot of time to import parts from china...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifBen custom-tooled ****ing everything for the Av.2. The basket design belongs to eD along with almost every other part for that woofer. That's why it has taken him so long.
No, the K and O are not all ED tooling, however, the AV.2 is.Yea it takes alot of time to import parts from china...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif
Let me guess, the k and o series are all eD owned toolings too?? Suprised that Image Dynamics has nothing to say about that.
sorry dude but there are 'other' woofers with high excursions which do not exhibit dimpling. why is that? because proper materials analysis was done on all the components and they are engineered to work correctly. Not true at all. If it were unplanned, yes, it could be a problem, but thats something thats expected with the design of ANY high profile surround designed for very long excursion. When properly made, they arent any less reliable than a half roll surround that doesn't exhibit the same behavior.
Gotta love some of this idle speculation which isn't based on anything factual. I understand many people don't like ED, but there isn't a whole lot of rational thinking, nor is there much fact, floating around in this thread.
It's rather early to make ANY sort of speculation about performance or reliability, considering that the driver is still in the prototype phases, and could easily vary somewhat before it's actually released anyway.
By no means am I trying to hype this product up, as I said already, speculation in EITHER direction isn't warranted, so I fail to see the point in doing so.
youre a moron. You can get anything tooled in Asia... but the designs that youre ripping off another company, the technology youre ripping off another company is clearly visible... they even show you the shit in their own website. with a different name of course.Ben custom-tooled ****ing everything for the Av.2. seriously...don't open your mouth when you don't know anything
let me put it this way, would you rather start the baja 500 with a perfect car or with one that has a punctured tire and a blown shock?ya we are talking years upon years dude... every woofer, speaker, amp will all fail at one point...
Like Warbleed just noted, there aren't many facts in this thread. I just want to reinforce the idea that my post is factual. There never ever was a pre- production sale on the 19O.
You may have tried to place an order for one before they were in stock, but they didn't have any sort of 'order now, recieve 5 months later at a cheap price' type of offer going. You are not only incorrect, but you are an ******* about it too.
Grow the **** up!

why would you want to buy a sub that is fatally flawed from its inception? just because 'eventually all subs will fail'?
Because they don't use a high roll surround //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/idea.gif.5acb6a39a9b92425414c316dda202bad.gifsorry dude but there are 'other' woofers with high excursions which do not exhibit dimpling. why is that?
