It's a 50/50 combination of both. The other box was good, but wasn't near as precise or low as this. But i can't say that a proper sealed alignment will line up the stars at night //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Really nice man! Do you use software to calculate the box specs? I really want to get into doing this. I have the space and time to build larger setups.
If you don't use any software, care to recommend some to help with the box designs?

Sort of both. I used to use BassBox, but it is flamingly inaccurate after testing about 5 different designs. Now, I used a MATLAB program I made in class which can solve for any parameter of the box you want, including slot port dimensions with turns without trouble. WinISD for free...
Bass Box Pro/Lite or WinSpeakerZ are both pretty good applications...

Winspeakerz is good, BassBox isn't when it comes to anything but simple sealed boxes or round ports.

Man, new update. This thing has so much low end that it's nuts! I actually prefer it to the 18 I've got at home, to be honest. No matter how low, you can't hear the speaker, just the bass. It isn't even bass, it's just so smooth and refined.
