I just read that a scientific study was done and it was found that those who gave (money, gifts, tips, any service etc) were generally more happy than those who did not. I will search for the link.I rather like the tip system as I believe it helps aid in better service for the most part. To answer your question, no I would not if I thought their wage was fair. I won't tip a host as I know they get paid more. I also tip on varying degrees depending on situation and service given. I take note and make mental deductions for shitty service. I have even skipped it altogether due to a rude attitude. I also tip because it makes me feel better about me.I said all this by saying I don't tip in situations that you described where a regular cashier is at the restraunt. I thought that would show my reasoning and why I find your Wally World irrelevent.
Thats completely believeable, I'm a very good tipper depending on where i go.. People that aren't used to tips are very happy to receive them, i know this from giving and receiving.I just read that a scientific study was done and it was found that those who gave (money, gifts, tips, any service etc) were generally more happy than those who did not. But are they more happy than those who donate an equivalent amount to charity. I donate to charity because I believe it is a better cause than subsidizing wages.I just read that a scientific study was done and it was found that those who gave (money, gifts, tips, any service etc) were generally more happy than those who did not. I doubt it matters, I think it mostly just has to do with if you feel like you are helping someone else out and making there life/day more enjoyable in some way (refer to my last post). But are they more happy than those who donate an equivalent amount to charity. INdeed...I tip because I am not a stingy low life piece of white trash. But I respect the rights of those who choose not to tip.
