if you cant stand someone bumping music at the stop light for 30secs. you must be a real anal person.... theres worse things in life than having to listen to other peoples bass for 1min... you dont like it? close your windows and turn your music on... it cant be that bad....

and the way i see i paid for my system so i should be able to listen to it the way i want.... its definatly not loud enough to cause the person next to me any hearing damage... and i am not going to be turning it up and down everytime at the stop light... thats rediculous

the only time i have respect for stuff like this is in a neighborhood... but on the road, unless its a cop or somebody's parents i know i wouldnt turn it down for the general public

I park in front of orphanages and nurseries blasting Slayer and Wu Tang and when people come out to complain I turn it up to maximum and pantomime the "I can't hear you" motion before I flip them the bird and peel out until I have 1% tread left and all the babies need to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Also on my way home I stop by the maternity ward and smoke 20 cigarettes at once while making loud and crude abortion jokes and jerking off.

Frankly I think this issue has just become a pocket-preach that allows some members to feel as if they are on a moral high ground and filibuster endlessly as if this is some serious issue that is plaguing society. More abstracted CA.COM epeen.

Or maybe some of us are tired of legal action being taken against our hobby/passion because of people like this? Maybe we are tired of hearing people next to us blaring music at stop lights? Maybe we're tired of people seeing a sub in our vehicles and assuming we're "that guy" who does these things and then we get judged because of it? Did you ever think about that or did you just want to think that we are all pompous members trying to make others look bad? I seriously hope not because if that is the case, you're a moron.

It may be "cool" in high school but things change when you get out of that stage.

I turn mine down to respectable levels @ lights and parking lots. Knowing that the system can be felt by cars close by, Its turned down, but sometimes I just like to set off amarms. I turn it down ALOT when old heads are around just so I dont get that "i hope you die" look after they shit their depends after the bass drops.

I hate those guys who have it full blare @ a light and hafta look around to see if they are being checked out.......attention *****s. Especially when all you hear IS bass, because they spent all their $$$ on subs, and no other speakers, like songs are made up of bass only.

It is when they're your boss. And yes, I was in that situation and had to explain to him that I was not that guy and even let him listen to see that my setup was not all about bass.

i got a lecture one time when i pulled into the gym. an older guy told me that he didnt fight in wwII so that us punk kids could blast our music as loud as we want.

and i told him yea you did fight so i could have the freedom to do what i want here in these here united states. he just got all pissed off and walked away ha ha

There is obviously a point where you are just being an obnoxious douchebag with your sound, nobody here will deny that, but I think 90% of the people that share my position are not being an obnoxious douchebag, they are just enjoying their setup as they drive. At most thats 5 seconds of audible bass, which is less annoying than a semi driving by if you hate it, and amusing if you do like it (and in my experience people laugh and smile at loud bass more than they look appalled and annoyed).

I understand that people don't want a few idiots to ruin it for all of us in terms of legal edicts being passed, but that is a ***** response to the out of touch asshats who we call our leaders trying to restrict your freedom. I'm not from the school of "oh no uncle sam disapproves I should change whatever I need to change to follow all the rules and make daddy love me"
