Forcing people in a public venue to listen to your music whether they requested such a display or not (whether that be for 5 seconds or 5 hours) is irresponsible, plain and simple. If you're at a Crank-It-Up that's one thing. If you're rolling through the parking lot at your local mall that's another situation entirely.

No matter how you attempt to defend it I can tell you now that you aren't going to win over any converts to your way of thinking. Well, not here anyway.

Has absolutely nothing to do with respect. Driving around neighborhoods at night with the volume way up when people are trying to sleep is one thing. But if somebody is gonna throw a fit because they hear my music for 5 seconds while i drive by them then they must have some kind of anxiety problem. If i was some punk kid like you are trying to imply, then I probably woulda kept running my mouth maybe even cussed him out a bit.

Seems to be a lost cause, you came here to try and make yourself feel better and its just not gonna happen. If you want to continue crankin your stereo around people then expect the occasional confrontation.

If your gonna be a sally and run to forums and complain about it to feel better then maybe you should respect others and turn it down some when you know you might annoy some people.

Has absolutely nothing to do with respect. Driving around neighborhoods at night with the volume way up when people are trying to sleep is one thing. But if somebody is gonna throw a fit because they hear my music for 5 seconds while i drive by them then they must have some kind of anxiety problem. If i was some punk kid like you are trying to imply, then I probably woulda kept running my mouth maybe even cussed him out a bit. Even when the volume is cranked its barely noticeable from 20ft away. The techno I listen to has no cussing or harsh lyrics that one would consider offensive either. Im willing to bet that if i came by blaring oldies with my windows down nobody woulda gave a crap. My point is that alot of older people look at me like im some disturber of the peace when they hear my music just because it isnt their taste. I see people drive past me with volume turned way up on a regular basis. Would it be okay for me to go cuss them out because i dont agree with their taste? No i dont think so. I wouldnt let it ruin my day because i had to hear bad music for a few seconds.

Again, when you mature, you will realize how wrong you were. Since you're probably only 16 or so, this may take a few years.

Do you enjoy it when there are street preachers yelling about the Bible and what it has to say? Do you think they are being disrespectful? It has nothing to do with what they are saying but how they're saying it.

The music isn't the problem here, it's how you're listening to it. Going to church is not wrong but when you take church on the streets and force people to listen to it, it becomes disrespectful. The same way you taking your music (that has nothing wrong in it) and forcing people to listen to it, is disrespectful.

It may not ruin your day hearing somebody blaring music but guess what? Not everybody is like you. Just like it may not bother christians hearing the street preachers but I doubt people of other faiths enjoy it.

That is were you are completely wrong, it doesnt make a difference what the material is, its the fact that it disturbs others.

I don't even like hearing people's systems at the mall or nearly any public place, and I'm not old. That guy just had the balls to tell you what probbably 80% of the people at the mall think about you when you're bumping there. Don't be coming to us for support.

It does in Florida; there is not smoking inside any public building unless over 75% of all profits made there are from alcohol. While I don't think this is right, it **** sure is a wonderful thing to not hear "smoking or non" again.

Noise ordinance in Florida is 25ft though which is pretty lame.
