I have 3 Sony 1200 watt max (350 rms) 12" subs..and my amp is alpine mrp-m1000. the problem is my amp cuts off at certain volume but the power light is still on

What are the subs? S2/S4 or S2/S4 voicecoils and how are they wired?

single voice coil four ohm and speakers are wired to middle speaker then to the amp

This is how they should be and you need to make sure that amp is 1 ohm stable

From what Im reading its not... So why dont you take out one sub and wire them at 2 ohms?

That amp is 2 ohm stable, wire the subs in series.

Well the way you have them wired is all screwy with three and the way you wire them correctly with three reguires a 1 ohm load stable amp.......

imp rise will keep the amp above a 2 ohm load. That amp is just fine to push those three subs. I would suggest setting the gains correctly if not done already.

Plus I would also guess that the subs dont read exactly 4 ohms, they probably sit higher...I could be wrong though.

Depending on the encloser and If he has got the electrical to it... Try running them like that first pic I put up and turn your gains down a little so its not full tilt and see how the amp does...

that's how they are wired in the first picture..it bangs like hell but cuts off at a certain volume probably because its under one ohm
