Do I Need A Bass Boost Capable Amp?

I am trying to pick an amp and I am stuck on some selection criteria. I am looking to throw some punch into my Polk Momo MMC690's in the doors and my Pioneer 6 1/2's in the front kick panels of my truck. I do not have any subs. I am looking to get a decent amp to power these with all of the adjustability and pass-filters but am wondering if I should be concerned with an amp with a "bass boost" or not. I currently have a Performance Teknique ICBM-775 and it has the bass boost but I want to step up to a better quality amp and don't know if it necessary with a system without subs wired into the amp.

I am unsure of the RMS ratings of the Pioneers but the Momo's are rated at 100W RMS so should I be looking at an amp close to the 100W x 4 @4ohm rating or is something a bit smaller just as good considering what I am feeding?

Thanx!

Bud

if your looking for better mid range and mid bass out of the front stage, def. deaden the doors and add some acoustical foam or the luxury foam from second skin behind the speakers them selves. if you think those speakers can take 100 rms, then get a bit bigger amp like 125 rms x 4 or something just to have head room. whatever amp you get, dont touch the bass boost if it even has one. bass boost boosts around 45 hertz usually and could clip the signal easily if you dont know what your doing.

That, and make it 300wrms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Mid range takes powa..and proper install.

Good info! I set up my amp with a DMM and a 0db test tone (used 45Hz, 1K and "pink" noise when I did) in the past so this is how I will set the new one as well.
