Also can't forget the fact that he can look up and email some of the names provided to him and they will give him an EXACT price including shipping. Since the OP fails with the search function on this forum, I am going to go out on a limb and say that Google is too complicated for him too! What gets annoying is repeat questions 3 times aday about the same topics when you could easily obtain all the answers yourself
^^^ and like I said before it;s about $1 per A
Yes, the alternator will work a little harder but the little bit extra its workin is nothing in comparison to the load you put on it with the ac going or defrost or abs. In other words not enough to hurt anything. People have problems with caps when they don't understand them and install them wrong. Its pretty common apparently..Yeah, right... listen to the new guy with 5 posts.Oh don't worry you'll be hearing a lot from me.
A capacitor is NOT a substitute for a proper electrical system and
I never said it was.
if you have a proper electrical system you don't need the capacitor.
Maybe, maybe not. Depends on the system
Basically, a capacitor is like putting a band aid over a bullet wound.
In your opinion of course. Lol
Also, the OP appears to be getting serious dimming with 1,200 watts RMS. You really think a 4 farad cap constantly trying to charge itself isn't going to cause that alternator to work harder?

Nope //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gifInfo sticks with me better if im discussing it with people rather than reading it...it doesnt stick....make sense ProjectPechkin ??
I like my cap. I've seen on a multi meter how my systems voltage acts with and without it and it definately helps. It is not a fix for dimming alone but after you've done proper wiring and a good battery and you still have dimming, a cap definately helps. My car voltage dropped to 12.4 with heavy bass hits with 2 batts and no cap. With the same batts and 40 farad cap 14.1 was the lowest it would go. I've got to get back to work but my vote is to install it.thats why i went slightly larger with a 4 farad instead of a 1.2 .... but i guess that doesnt make a differnce dude.. gotta stick with the facts and wat everyone has been telling me for the past hour..lol i held out to see if anyone could defend the cap but..... CAP= FAIL
yeah caps **** real bad. My ex-cap killed my bxi1606d //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif and i killed it backOk i know alot of you are saying yes capacitors **** dont buy one blah blah blah..but i figured all this out after i bought one ! Yes i know prolly a stupid move..but ive got a sound stream 4 farad cap. ive got a Aq1200-d amp..runnin at one ohm pumpin all the power i can..since i already have the cap should i install it ? my headlights dim pretty bad..(yea i know i should get a differnt alt. but you find one for a 03hyundai sonata that they dont want a F-ing arm and leg for!!!) INSTALL YES ER NO ?
