Fuse just cause more peoplems then good. They always coming Loose and basically all fuses are cheap China crap. I know u have had problems caused by fuses on the past. I thought we went over this like 10 times. No fuses is he way to go. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Jim do, lol nice but pricey? https://jims-machineworkx.myshopify.com/collections/fuse-blocks/products/1-0-anl-fuse-holders?variant=21323162369

I think I want one. And I agree and mdf terrible idea imho - wood absorbs moisture from your environment as in humidity so sealing it is a must and If you have a serious short or amp melt down it could catch fire. I know lot of the kids are doing it lol But I guarantee they haven't experienced a big amp catch fire in a vehicle. I had a 7k burn up with flames and the short was strong enough to melt the mounting screws off that were holding it to the metal back wall of my truck, LOL serious current draw and fuses didnt pop but were very very hot ! and it caught my mdf sub enclosure on fire a little too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif So you will never see me mount fuses on wood. Will it work? Yes, will it work well ??????? yes, if you dont ever have any problems but then again a lot of kids run no fuses at all ? Why not make it out of sheet pvc or acrylic and aluminum like your drawing ? You can order it in small pieces on ebay or but walmart kitchen cutting boards that are thick and cheap and would work perfect. I use them to make speaker mounts for doors.

Built this one for my brother's car with some 2X4 pieces screwed onto some plywood using some angle aluminum I bought at tractor supply. Used plasti-dip to coat what wasn't needed for connections. 2 years later it's still doing its job.

Not if you buy real fuses as in Bussman or Littlefuse , and they cost less than car audio fuses. I agree car audio stuff is sheet I wouldnt trust my vehicle or life to a china fuse but why would they come loose ? I have never experienced that. If you want to think that way and risk your life and property thats cool but you have kids dont you ? Hopefully mama got all the common sense and dont let them roll with you.

The come lose because of vibration. But.....if a person was smart enough to always check connections, there would be 0 issues as far as them coming up should they ever arise.

He's saying from other people....not you or Hertz specifically. Although you two have some power and some big subs and also depends how much demo's a person goes thru either on a daily basis or weekly. Or just plain driving down the road cranking the volume.

Maybe its those cheap car audio fuse holders ? I can tighten mine tight as i would tighten any other bolt on my truck that size ? But I used these and there strong enough to tighten where they dont come loose and there cheaper than car audio stuff too and I get fusing else where. Fuses & Fuse Holders

Well and he is a quite a bit louder than I am so maybe he is experiencing much more vibration than I am ?

Imo, doesn't matter of brand, cheap or expensive. What I'm saying is vibration will eventually loosen those fuse holders/bolts over time. And as I stated before, if a person has a large enough system after building one, dumping 1000's of dollars into it, chances are they got some fuse holders. It's a great idea to retighten those connections and check them frequently, often, or whenever necessary. Nobody ever does because it never crosses their mind until they start to run into issues/problems. I've seen/read it on here as well as other forums.
