Dante's 7 cu.ft. SQL Enclosure! [ Worklog ] [PICS]

comes in different diameters . Looks like a big gigantic long screw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
i like using 1/2" diameter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

actually its almost like 1/4" thick paneling that can bend without breaking works great.
The arse hats here ( lowes, home depot ) stopped carrying that kind . And went to the flexy ply with the curf cuts. Don't know why really. I liked the other stuff lke your talking about better. Made some killer consoles with it before //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

its in the where the screws are in home depot its a big rod that has threads like a bolt would have.

I just like to use xpanding foam its easier and i just silicone the edge and slide my finger down the seam to make it smooth than cover it up with ??? lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif but thatll work too lol time is essential //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

btw, another thing i want to do. is instead of carpeting, i want to paint is glossy black. how would i accomplish this???
Just mdf right ? Just sand it smooth to remove glue and imperfections. You can either use the wood glue / water mixture or body filler to seal the end grain. Then sand that smooth. THen prime it and paint it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just a note:

on something i read on an article of one of those home and mobile entertainment magazines. dont know which, but im sure some where on the net you can find an article about it.

those 45* angles inside the eclosure dont help on a subwoofer enclosure.

theyre used in enclosures for like midrange freqs and up. on a sub enclosures they only help if used inside the port to help direct the air and smoth out the posibility of port noise. other then that they are just taking up space. oh well they may help strengthen the corners and keep them from coming apart.
