Dangers of sub box sitting out.

Well, im even more addicted. I want to make another box but have be ported it sitting out. When i have 4 friends in the car, i can take the box out and put the sealed one under the seat. I would try a under the seat ported design but that seem to hard. So, dangers of a 75lbs weight in the back seat of a truck sitting on the floor ( not the seat). Am i gonna kill someone in small wreck ( assuming i ever have one). What would yall say? I want to make my Sa-8's even louder.

Bolt your box down, run bolts and use cotter pins or cam locks to hold it down. I've been into 2 head ons the highway. Everything becomes a missle when violently stopping to zero. My sub box under the seat of my quad cab ram, even bolted down flew forward.

This, definitely. I personally know somebody who had a Type R 15 in a ported box, unsecured, sitting on the rear seat in his pickup. Stupid move, I know. Well, they think he'd been fine if that thing hadn't started rolling around in the cab with him when he put his truck in the ditch at 65 miles an hour. Seriously, OP, for the safety of yourself and anybody in your vehicle, make sure your box isn't gonna move. A 3/4" MDF enclosure loaded with heavy audio equipment can very easily become deadly when your vehicle suddenly stops, and it doesn't. I'm not trying to scare you off the idea, I'm just trying to put emphasis on making sure that thing is secure.

Yea. I really dont wanna drive screws into my truck. Im not sure where im gonna put the box. I think under the seat is impossible. So i can raise a seat up and set it their, or go and make something that goes in the middle seat to the floor. Like a L shape. I want ported but not sure whats the best way. Id love to keep all three seats. May make a new thread about location.

I'd raise your rear seat and do a ported underneath it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
Yea, thought of that but, Its got 4 bolts in the back i cant undo. Iv tried everything and the seat lifts you buy are WAYYY over priced for a piece of metal.

Make your own then //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
Yea, thought of that but not sure what material. Want to do metal but dont have any metal blocks at my disposal. I thought of a L shape to go over the seat. With the subs firing down.
