DA 1001D Should i get it?

My sub handles 500w per coil at 2 ohms. I think this means to hit rms i need 1000w at 1 ohm so i want some opinions.

Should i get the Directed Audio 1100D Refurbished for 159 (170 shipped)

and runn 100w over RMS or should i get an amp that pushes about 1600w at 1 ohm and overpower my sub a bit more? My sub is an HX2 3115 15inch 2000w max (1000w per coil)

Can someone doublecheck my calc's too? 1000w at 2ohms DVC equals 1000w load at 1ohm on the amp. True?

i here thats a good amp, you wont be able to do much better for the money...what subs are they
