I have had many combinations of subs & amps in the past, mostly entry level JLW0's, Phoenix Gold, Rockfords, etc. 10's and 12's, pairs and singles ported and sealed. I have always wanted a more balanced system with better mids and highs and now the bass is disappointing. I had a JL 10w3 in my current box/trunk with 350w rms alpine amp pushing and was happy with it, but I put in a Pioneer 5 channel amp, Kicker comp 6.5's(75w Rms) in all doors. I quickly overpowered my W3 with the 600w rms sub channel. So I bought a Nvx 10 rated @ 750w rms. I am not happy at all, its probably my fault for running it under powered, but after I blew the w3 I was a little nervous. I'm thinking of going with 1 JL W6 but wanted to get some input on both subs first. Does anyone have the NVX VCW104 with 750 watts and is happy with it? The box I have is 1.25 Cu ft and that sub calls for 1.5, would that make that much of a difference? I am partial to JL's, always like the sound quality. 600w is @ the top end of power rating for the w6's, can they handle it?
