I would like to remove my passive crossover and use one that is built into the amplifier. However I tried this before and blew a set of tweeter.

any tips on doing this while limiting the chance of blowing my tweeters?

the amp is mb quart discuss 4125. and the tweeters are XS28 from image dynamics.

the tweets will play 3500hz up

after lookin at the manual for that amp the hp xover on it doesn't go high enough it only goes to 1.2khz whcih is 1200hz. and you need it at 3.5khz. plus 125 watts is a lil high if you run it that much be careful.

basically what they are telling is dont do it... with that amp you are playing those tweets way too low and giving them a ton of power.

unless you get an active crossover capable of hp at 3.5hz and a bandpass setting for your mids youll probably keep blowing tweets.

I figured thats what is it.

Ill leave them with the passive CO for now.
