Crossover Question

?????
If I have a 3.5khz two-way crossover, and I hooked up just a tweeter, would it play the same as if I had a mid-bass driver hooked up? I'm thinking about running my midbasses off an amp (they'll get 100w a piece) with an active crossover, and run the tweeters off the headunit with a passive crossover. Should I just give 100w to the passives, and hook the tweeters and midbass up to that? Midbasses are 150w RMS, not sure about the tweeters ratings. They're from the Aura MR62 set (thanks again, desertheat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif ). Everything is 4 ohm.

Ok, let me get this straight...

You have a crossover and are just wondering if the tweeter will still work the same without the mid hooked up to the crossover. Correct?

If so.. yes, the tweeter will work the exact same.

I don't know what you are getting at with the rest though.

Yeah I did a pretty horrible job at explaining it... basically I'm going to be running a component set, with the tweeter running off the head unit and the midbass amped, so that I'm not overpowering the tweeters and the mids are getting enough. The midbass will be actively crossed over to play from 80hz-3.5khz, and the tweeter will be on the high end of a passive 2-way crossover with a 3.5khz crossover point. Does that make sense?
