Crossover location

OK, i wanted to put the crossovers for my pce 216's in the kick panels up front but there was not enough room. Would there be any problem locating these in the trunk and having the wires from the crossover to the speakers (tweets and 6.5) be about 10 feet apart?

I run my crossovers in the trunk and that's in a 4runner. Sounds fine to me, except for the fact taht Alpine Type R's **** a hairy left nut but that's just the speakers, not the length of wire!
