I am just getting back in the game after some time, last setup was full MMats(nothing fancy) and need some help with Crossfire subs.
I don't see very much about any Crossfire subs on here, only mostly their amps. I am in the market for a single 12" C7 on a 1k amp (C51000D) that I will put into a bandpass box (gotta get the sound outta the trunk through a blowthrough).
I'm hoping to get some opinions on their speaker tech these days. I know (think) as a company in general, Crossfire in dependable and well regarded. If you have a comment on SQL / SPL, that is ok too, but my focus is simply getting real world info on this speaker. This is going in my daily driver, i listen to hip hop, D&B, Neo-Soul / Soul music and say I want it for SQ, but knowing me, Imma turn that gain knob to the right which I guess puts me in SQL territory. (just a little. yea right)
Some of the questions I am trying to figure:
1. Does their price vs competition performance/price deter people from using Crossfire products
unless a special build ?
2. Would a C7 be considered a SQL or SPL woofer ?
3. Is anyone running these speakers ? I see info on C5 & XS but no C7 setups...
4. All things equal, what would be their closes competitor ?
5. Any customer service stories ?
Thanks for any help. I know I didn't give any box spec and such, but I want general info on the speakers and their abilities. I trust my installer/builder to get the sound I am looking for... so I hope I can get some general info rather than opinions on how to get low hz or high db based on my build.
